Per Crucem Ad Astra
Medicina de l'anima
Medicina de l’anima” (soul medicine) is the reason why I decided to realise “Per Crucem Ad Astra”
Of course, it’s just a little thing, but that’s the best I can do to contribute and fight what, about me, it’s the real illness of the century: The “existential nihilism” It’s symptoms are evident in the deep sense of self-annulment and of values that give importance to each individual's life. Mystical values, human values, material and social values. "Nothing" devours day after day all our values and all our expectations. There are many souls wandering like empty pockets in cities around the globe. They try to fill these huge voids of the soul with ever-new ephemeral sensations offered daily by the media, making our lives more critical. So the sense of love disappears within us and with it the sense of the family, of art, history, spirituality, sociality, freedom, honesty, especially of intellectuals, and of all those values built fatiguedly in centuries history. The passages contained in Per Crucem Ad Astra refer to Jesus Christ and Christianity as a reference. Beyond the fact that Jesus Christ was a common man, a God or both the things, it is beyond doubt that His figure has uncovered the cultural path of the whole Western world in an incontrovertible way. Jesus Christ, the deep root of the values that Western secular culture has made over the centuries and "Christianity" which in his name also made unethical acts, but given to our history and culture thoughts and works of extraordinary importance and immense beauty. My desire is that these "musical medicines" can be made by those who want to listen to its and that they can make and re-awaken parts of themselves apparently disappeared but actually just succumbed.
